CALLING THE SPIRITS
Ayahuasca (Banisteriopsis caapi) is the name of the vine of the soul. It is a natural liana tea that has been ritually and medicinally drunk by Amazonian ethnic groups for thousands of years for the holistic healing and cleansing of the body, mind and soul. The tea has a strong cleaning, healing, visionary and heart-opening effect. Her spirit is infinite, loving and feminine - that of a mother or grandmother - why she is also called ‚Madre Ayahuasca‘ or ‚Abuelita‘ (mother Ayahuasca or grandmother). She is the mother of all healing plants.
SACRED HEALING JOURNEY
A traditional ceremony takes place in the darkness - in the lap of the female energy of the moon, at night - and lasts more or less 5 hours. The service of a shaman/a or ayahuasquero/a is to serve and be an instrument for the spirit, to hold the space, to communicate and accompany the participants with Icaros (healing chants on the chacapa), medicine songs on the guitar, the holy mapacho (grandfather tobacco, “taita sairi” from the jungle) and many other tools. The spirit of the 'Madrecita' and the Great Spirit 'Gran Espiritu' guide the sacred ceremony.
The first effects begin about half an hour after drinking. At the beginning the medicine helps to purify on the physical level (purga). The peak of the ceremony is the “mareación” - where the spirit is with you. She can show visions, let you feel and observe, let you surrender and help you let go what harms your soul. She lets you remember your deepest truth, and opens your heart for your specific path. Sudden insights and indescribable worlds open up. She always knows what your soul needs to clear, let go and heal at this moment.
To participate in a ceremony, it is important to follow a certain diet before and after taking the medicine. The day after the ceremony there will be an integration circle. The ceremonies take place in a safe and trustful setting.
